In addition to various synthetic fibres such as nylon, polyamide, or polypropylene, scrubbers and brushes also use Arenga and, especially, fibre bristles. Fibre is the medium-fine, yellow leaf fibre of the Mexican Agave. The fibre is extremely robust and heat-resistant. The Union blend, consisting of fibre and bassine, is distinguished by its exceptional hardness. Horsehair is used for particularly soft cleaning and polishing brushes.
