Cold blocker to prevent icy feet
These shoes are certified according to EN ISO 20345:2022 S7, although their properties are similar to those of S3-safety shoes with a weatherproof membrane (e.g. dryplexx®). Due to the adaptation of the EN ISO 20345:2022, new protection classes are created to further subdivide the characteristics of safety shoes in the future. For anyone working outdoors all day in freezing temperatures, winter-proof equipment is a must! The Okomu safety models confidently take on the cold, keeping feet reliably warm even in sub-zero conditions, while the soft inner lining ensures exceptional comfort. Equipped with a steel toe cap, steel sole, and dryplexx® membrane, the Okomu models are secure and reliable companions offering weather-protection comfort.
With their mid-height design, the e.s. Okomu mid safety shoes offer an excellent balance between protection and mobility. High enough to shield feet from cold and weather while stabilising the ankle area, but not so high as to restrict movement.

Breathable shoes only work with functional socks. Cotton socks store moisture. In contrast, functional socks remove the moisture from the feet to the outside. Then the breathable shoe membrane comes into play and transports the moisture to the outside of the shoe. Therefore the principle behind breathable shoes only works if breathable socks are worn. Only a combination of functional socks and breathable shoes effectively removes sweat sending it to the outside of the shoe. This is the principle of breathability.
