These shoes are certified according to EN ISO 20345:2022 S7S, although their properties are similar to those of S3 safety shoes with a weatherproof membrane (e.g. dryplexx®). Due to the adaptation of the EN ISO 20345:2022, new protection classes are created to further subdivide the characteristics of safety shoes in the future. The S7 safety boots e.s. Innsbruck mid reliably keep your feet dry thanks to the dryplexx® weather protection membrane and nicely warm with the particularly pleasant fleece lining. Since warmth is lost fastest on icy floors, the cold-insulating base additionally protects the feet from heat loss. A real treat for anyone who works outside in wind, weather, and cold and cannot do without the massive protection of a steel cap and steel sole. The material mix, which cleverly combines robust leather on the shaft with pleasant, breathable mesh, is also smart: Despite the extended shaft, this maintains mobility and increases comfort.

Breathable shoes only work with functional socks. Cotton socks store moisture. In contrast, functional socks remove the moisture from the feet to the outside. Then the breathable shoe membrane comes into play and transports the moisture to the outside of the shoe. Therefore the principle behind breathable shoes only works if breathable socks are worn. Only a combination of functional socks and breathable shoes effectively removes sweat sending it to the outside of the shoe. This is the principle of breathability.
